Braille and Tactile Signs

Braille Signs are specialists in designing and manufacturing bespoke Braille and tactile signs compliant with Part M of the Building Regulations, BS 8300, ADA guidelines and following the guidelines of best practice as laid down by the Sign Design Guide.


We work with DDA / ADA compliant materials and use the Raster bead method of inserting Braille beads as this is the preferred method specified by the National Council for the Blind (NCBI) and the Royal National Institute for the Blind in the UK (RNIB). Our signage has been approved by the NCBI and also meets the requirements of the NDA.


While we are very conscious of the necessity for a sign to look aesthetically pleasing, the most important thing for us is that our signs are “fit for purpose” i.e. user friendly for our intended market, which is the blind, partially sighted and people with learning difficulties such as dyslexia.
